DISH Wireless Awarded $50 Million NTIA Grant for 5G Open RAN Integration and Deployment Center

Mavenir is proud to collaborate with DISH Wireless and other industry consortium partners to establish the Open RAN Center for Integration and Deployment (ORCID) as a result of a $50 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

ORCID will be used to test network software and hardware against a complete commercial-grade Open RAN network deployed by DISH Wireless to evaluate Open RAN interoperability, performance, and security.
