ip.access Extends Presence Offering with Emu Analytics Partnership
November 14th 2016, London, UK – ip.access, a Mavenir company since September 2020, has agreed a new strategic partnership with Emu Analytics – the provider of real-time contextual analytics applications. The partnership gives customers of ip.access’ Presence data monetisation service additional value and choice in terms of real-time analytics, while also enabling Emu Analytics to add carrier-based micro proximity data sets to their customer solutions.
The partnership follows the recent announcement of a major update to ip.access’ Presence service with the release of a new sensor, enabling businesses to extract even more value from the location data that the solution delivers. Presence now uniquely combines licensed, unlicensed (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) data sets, all from a single, simple to deploy sensor.
Commenting on the partnership, Richard Vilton, CEO, Emu Analytics, said: “Our carrier customers are increasingly seeking insights derived from micro proximity to add value to macro-level data. It is important for us to work with partners that have field proven, scalable solutions and with ip.access we are now able to offer customers the world’s most advanced micro proximity data set.”
Rob Jones, GM Presence, ip.access, added: “Carriers continue to look for technologies that can maximise the value that can be realised from their network location data. As such, we are focused on building a world class Presence ecosystem to deliver the solutions our customers need. The partnership with Emu Analytics means we are adding another industry recognised actionable insights partner to that ecosystem.”
Presence from ip.access unlocks the full value of micro-proximity data. Presence provides highly granular location and device identity data, resolved down to 5 meters or better. This data effortlessly provides greater insights into customer buying patterns and demographics, or can support “opt in” use cases such as SMS Push, all from the same solution.
Crucially the Presence service is delivered within a robust privacy, permissions and policy framework without the inherent flaws that limit the value Wi-Fi or beacon solutions can generate. Presence does not require device applications, user interaction or extensive macro network integration.
