Druid and Mavenir Test Latest 5G Small Cell

Mavenir has successfully configured & connected their new E511 5G small cell to the Druid Raemis 5G SA Core platform as part of testing for their new small cell, which is ideal for Communication Service Providers and Private Network Operators targeting 5G in-building coverage for enterprise and public spaces.

Wicklow, Ireland and Richardson, Texas, U.S. – 25th February 2023: Druid Software, the leading provider of private cellular network core software, together with Mavenir, the Network Software Provider building the future of networks with cloud-native solutions that run on any cloud, today announced the successful integration and testing of the Mavenir’s 5G small cell,  a globally applicable product, and like the Druids Raemis core platform, has the flexibility to support both distributed and centralized ORAN architectures.

Building on an established install base of over 2 million small cell units deployed globally, Mavenir’s 5G small cell (E511) forms part of an expanding small cell portfolio that leverages Mavenir’s end-to-end RAN solution, including a common Management System and CU. This flexibility, coupled with zero touch provisioning – ease of deployment, cost-effective, high-capacity solution – is ideal for a variety of deployment use cases, including Enterprises such as office, retail, warehousing, manufacturing, and public spaces.

This strategy is complementary to Druids Raemis distributed network architecture, with a single point of control for multiple private networks, while at the same time providing essential geo redundancy for those edge networks.  To learn more about the Druid Raemis core platform, visit here.

“The collaboration with Mavenir and Druid for the E511 small cell is really exciting for 5G, and various uses cases,” said Tadhg Kenny, Druid Software President for Global Strategic Partnerships . “We are delighted to be working with Mavenir as one of the industry’s pioneers for open and interoperable solutions and look forward to coupling Druids Raemis core platform in future deployments and opportunities.”

“For Mavenir, this validation with Druid is twofold – it demonstrates an expanding collaboration to now include Mavenir’s 5G small cell as part of the broader ecosystem,” said BG Kumar, President of Mavenir’s Access Networks, Platforms and MDE.  “Secondly, it reinforces the importance Mavenir places on ensuring successful interoperability, by demonstrating validation beyond Mavenir’s Packet Core.”

Both Druid and Mavenir will both be exhibiting at MWC Barcelona Feb 28th – March 2nd and will be available for any follow-up interest on this collaboration.
