Social Networks Gateway
Mavenir's Social Networks Gateway offers a powerful set of capabilities to aggregate 3GPP IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based services such as GSMA Rich Communications Services (RCS), Mobile VoIP and Video Communications with various social networks at large. This is driven by our vision for open network to leverage growth in web 2.0 usage to drive new, simple and rich user experiences on the mobile device, empowering operators to monetize the trend.
Mavenir’s Social Networking Gateway (SoNG) integrates access to popular web2.0 social networking sites with RCS. SoNG delivers social networking updates from web2.0 sites to the client, and pushes updates made via the client to social networking sites. With SoNG, service providers can deliver a single, mobile point through which subscribers interact through voice, messaging, and social networking. SoNG maps a subscribers’ RCS buddy list to their respective social networking credentials. SoNG can then deliver push and pull social networking updates from a subscribers’ friends to the mobile client.
Mavenir’s SoNG provides the following features:
• Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Flikr integration: SoNG supports aggregation of feeds, status and tagline into RCS. Additional social networking sites, will be supported in future releases.
• Presence and Feed synchronization: SoNG automatically synchronizes presence/tagline (or feed) information between social networking and RCS. Presence updates made on the social networking sites are reflected in RCS and vice-versa.
• Social Hub: Displays the social networking site contents and updates for a specified buddy.
• Real-time notifications: SoNG aggregates and delivers social networking updates more efficiently than individual clients. Subscribers receive the information they want, and network bandwidth usage is optimized.
All Mavenir products, including application servers and gateways, are deployed on the award winning, Mavenir mOne Convergence Platform.
