With Mavenir’s solution, users can set personalized profiles across multiple smart devices, including presence status updates, where presence notification is sent to all devices provisioned under the same user account. RCS service can also bundled with privacy managed geo-location information to accelerate adoption of new applications via multiple 3rd party and operator managed app stores.

Messaging is a critical source of revenues for global mobile operators, making it critical to offer new capabilities to keep the service attractive for an end user. RCS solution introduces rich messaging services from simple text IM to conversational and group messaging. Capability Discovery is also a key element of RCS 5.1 service set and is implemented using the messaging application server (AS) for multi-device handling and other optimizations. The RCS service is extended to non-RCS mobile users via SMS and MMS interworking function (IP-SM Gateway), with network intelligence to route the message to available device or the client.
