Mavenir, TopFive Leader - Mobile IMS Market
Richardson, TX – March 23, 2010 – In the growing IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) market that is expected to reach $1.44 billion by 2014, Mavenir Systems, a provider of innovative mobile convergence solutions, has carved out a top market-share position. According to market research firm Infonetics Research in its fourth quarter (4Q09) IMS Equipment and Subscribers market share and forecast report, Mavenir had seven percent of worldwide IMS CSCF revenues, supported by growing revenues in Mobile Voice, Instant Messaging and Presence application server.
According to Shubh Agarwal, Mavenir's Vice President of Marketing, the company's market position is driven largely by their innovative approach adopted across three commercial deployments. Mavenir customers are planning to launch services ranging from voice and messaging services over IP devices such as Femtocells, Converged IP Messaging (CPM) and Rich Communication Suite (RCS) services enhanced with SMS/MMS interworking and Social Networks aggregation. Mavenir's IMS
solutions lower costs with legacy core infrastructure replacement and optimizes voice routing.
"Our focus is to enable new, revenue generating mobile services utilizing our application servers with IMS as a service enabling framework. We differentiate by blending IMS with legacy and web based services to super charge the operator value proposition as they transform their networks to all IP," said Agarwal. "We are pleased to be recognized for our sales growth, and will continue to work with our key partners and customers to further strengthen our market position in this growing space."
"The shining star in 4Q09 for IMS sales were deployments for mobile networks, particularly purchases for RCS, LTE trials, and enhanced mobile IM and presence services -- all areas of focus for Mavenir," said Diane Myers, Directing Analyst, Service Provider VoIP and IMS, Infonetics Research. "Mavenir is well positioned to gain from the overall momentum of the IMS market that will be driven by mobile operators starting with RCS in 2010 and Voice over LTE in 2013."
