IMS Core Enablers

Mavenir's I/S-CSCF features software modules integrated with Presence, IM and Voice application servers on a highly scalable ATCA platform providing an optimized solution for mobile operators. I/S-CSCF is a SIP registrar and router that conforms to 3GPP TS 24.229. They provide standard functionalities including HSS Selection, S-CSCF assignment, IMS UE Registration, Authentication, and Application Service Interworking. They support standard based Mw, Cx and ISc interfaces for open inter-operability with Mavenir or any 3rd party applications.

Mavenir also supports an integrated HSS adapter for operators intending to leverage existing subscriber databases based on LDAP and/or AAA standards. The HSS adapter supports standard 3GPP HSS functionality for any IMS core network, while it utilizes the backend databases to create subscriber credentials and service profiles. For smaller scale deployments and rapid service launches, this adapter can function as an integrated HSS to support a IMS-in-a-box solution.

All Mavenir products, including application servers and gateways, are deployed on ATCA-based, award winning, Mavenir mOne Convergence Platform.

Mavenir works with industry leaders to complement our solution with various components required to deliver a turnkey solution including but not limited to HSS, XDMS, P-CSCF, Media Gateways and Servers. The Mavenir application servers also work with any 3GPP Release 8 compliance IMS core network vendor. Read more about our partners.

The AirGuard EIR allows operators to control access to mobile networks deterring device theft and fraud, and enables provisioning of optimized services based on device type. This high-performance, 3GPP 22.016 compliant, EIR has advanced administrative and customer management capabilities allowing mobile operators use the AirGuard EIR to perform checks and block any blacklisted mobile handset or equipment.

AirGuard EIR Architecture

Unique amongst EIRs, Mavenir’s AirGuard EIR also allows operators to provide a range of extended services to improve user experience and increase revenues. For instance operators may use the AirGuard EIR to lock subsidized handsets/equipment to specific SIM cards to ensure subscriber contract agreements are adhered to. Operators can detect and, if they choose, block cloned devices or SIM cards to eliminate fraud on their network. The AirGuard EIR can be used to detect roaming subscribers from foreign networks and trigger pre-determined welcome roamer messages, encouraging network use and valuable revenue streams.

Device Tracker functionality within the AirGuard EIR allows operators provide services optimized for the device, such as transcoding or ringtones, by detecting equipment make and model. AirGuard EIR may also be used to trigger external service applications, based on subscriber, SIM and equipment information. These extended service offerings are used by many of the world’s leading operators to differentiate their services and drive additional revenues, making AirGuard EIR the world’s leading EIR solution.
