GSMA’s Rich Communications Suite or RCS, a presence enabled IP messaging services suite, is gaining momentum as global operators launch enhanced, globally interoperable, socially interactive services to build loyal mobile communities. The transformation of the messaging core network is happening while SMS and MMS traffic continues to grow globally.

• SMS and MMS over IP and 4G - provides delivery of traditional SMS and MMS messages over IP access to ensure service availability and delivery to new consumer, entertainment and enterprise devices. This is a critical application for operators deploying 4G access such as WiMAX or LTE or WiFi and Fixed Broadband providers who desire to offer messaging service parity against mobile operators. While SMS delivery is standardized by 3GPP as IP-SM Gateway, MMS inter-working is Mavenir’s innovative extension to simplify transition of SMS and MMS to IMS based networks.
• Rich Communications Suite (defined by GSMA) provides a highly integrated solution to launch enhanced real-time communication services over their 2.5G, 3G or 4G networks. Mavenir bundles the IMS core and application server components as a “RCS-in-a-box” solution, which reduces cost of entry, and accelerates enhanced service deployment. Mavenir innovations allow operators to integrate Presence and IM horizontally across other services and open APIs accelerate adoption of these enablers by 3rd party application developers.
• SMS and MMS Routing and Premium Services have become mainstream requirements for any and all mobile operators to transform their legacy messaging networks to manage significant traffic growth while readying their network for 3G and 4G services. Mavenir offers is a highly scalable and distributed solution that enables new SMS and MMS services and drastically reduces the costs to deliver high volume SMS and MMS (> 5x lower cost than competition), using the same platform to deliver IP messaging services such as RCS. Mavenir has re-defined the traditional SMSC by adopting principles of IMS to handle messages with an intelligent router for first delivery attempt (SMS or MMS FDA), use SIP for backhaul and IP delivery, services engine and gateways to manage Value Added Services all driven by a open, centralized HSS/SPS subscriber dB for personalized service profiles.
• Social Networks Aggregation provides mobile operators the ability to lower network costs by optimizing the social networks traffic and offer value of simplicity to the end users. Mavenir offers a solution that enables personalized delivery of social feeds to end users, manages contacts across various social networks and exposes common set of operator controlled API to accelerate differentiated services in the network and on the operator branded devices. Mavenir has also bundled RCS with Social Networks, to make a compelling value for a sophisticated social user.

All the Converged Messaging solutions are based on relevant 3GPP/2 and OMA standards, with open interfaces towards existing network elements or 3rd party applications. IMS based solutions such as SMS and MMS over LTE and RCS are available with optional core enablers integrated onboard with our application servers, simplifying deployment and lowering costs. The Mavenir enablers include I/S-CSCF, XDMS & HSS adapter applications. Turnkey IMS core network is also available with partner products for HSS, P-CSCF and Media Gateways..
