We are pleased to share that Mavenir has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Virtualization Technology category at this year’s TechXLR8, 5G World Awards. The ceremony, which will take place on 14th June at London’s Tobacco Docks, recognizes excellence across the technology landscape. The 5G Awards focus specifically on converging areas of technology including 5G, virtual & augmented reality, IoT, cloud, connected automotive and artificial intelligence.
With exponential growth in data-consuming services, we are seeing more and more congestion and revenue leakage on today’s networks, which has put tremendous pressures on Communications Service Providers (CSPs), who are now faced with the need to take a fundamentally different approach to how they build out their networks. Additionally, CSP’s must ensure their technology (LTE, LTE-A, carrier aggregation, etc.) meets the constantly increasing demands of their customers, therefore the ability to deploy enhanced services and experience quickly for users is critical.
Virtualization is at the core of Mavenir’s technology, and our approach is to navigate CSPs through their network transformation, by providing virtualized software-defined network (SDN) solutions across every layer of the network infrastructure stack, that are 5G ready and possess the openness and flexibility required to cost-effectively deliver new, revenue-generating services.
Being shortlisted for this award reinforces our NFV and SDN strategy. It is only through Network Functions Visualization (NFV) that network elasticity, service agility, and the ability to slice the network into multiple virtual networks tuned to specific use cases, where services can be scaled or fine-tuned based on demand and requirements, be explored proactively to provide benefits to subscribers. And this where our expertise helps CSPs.
To find out if we’ve been successful, tune in on the 14th June, for an update on 5G World winners, , and in the meantime, keep your fingers crossed!
